THE CHATTANOOGAN OFFERS FREE TICKETS TO THE TENNESSEE AQUARIUM, CHILDREN’S DISCOVERY MUSEUM AND OTHER TOP

05/02/2011

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 2, 2011) -- As gas prices continue to soar, many travelers are rethinking summer vacation plans and staying closer to home. The Chattanoogan, Chattanooga’s only AAA Four Diamond-rated full-service hotel, is offering families an added incentive to make The Chattanoogan their summer vacation destination with complimentary tickets to some of the city’s top attractions. When families stay at The Chattanoogan at the hotel’s best available rate for two or more nights, they will receive free tickets to either the Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX Theatre; Ruby Falls, Rock City and Incline Railway; or the Chattanooga Zoo and Children’s Discovery Museum.

The Chattanoogan's Summer Savings Promotion includes deluxe accommodations for up to two adults and two children; two adult and two children’s tickets to the highlighted attractions; a stuffed animal; and unlimited use of the hotel's health and recreation facilities. The package is offered from Wednesday, June 1 – Monday, September 5, and reflects more than a $100 savings for families. For more information or reservations, call (423) 756-3400, toll free (877) 756-1684, or visit The Chattanoogan’s newly designed Website at www.chattanooganhotel.com

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the southeast, The Tennessee Aquarium takes visitors from a cove forest high in the Appalachian Mountains to a colorful coral reef in the blue depths of the Gulf of Mexico. The Aquarium’s walk-through forests, touch tank experiences and daily animal encounter programs give guests incredible face-to-face experiences with fascinating animals from around the world. The

Tennessee Aquarium was recently honored as the #1 Aquarium in the U.S. for guest satisfaction by TripAdvisor.

Located atop Lookout Mountain just a few miles from The Chattanoogan, Rock City, Ruby Falls and Incline Railway are some of the top attractions in the region. Rock City is a marvel of nature with massive ancient rock formations, beautiful gardens with more than 400 native plant species, and breathtaking "See 7 States" panoramic views. Ruby Falls is America’s largest underground waterfall that is accessible to the public. “America’s Most Amazing Mile,” the Incline Railway on Lookout Mountain, offers visitors an incredible ride on trolley-style cars that climb through the natural beauty surrounding the historic mountain at a breathtaking 72.7% grade straight up.

Participants in The Chattanoogan's Summer Savings Promotion also have the option of enjoying the Chattanooga Zoo, which features Snow Leopards, Red Pandas, Chimpanzees, Jaguars, and more, and the Discovery Museum, one of the premier hands-on children's museums in the region that offers a wide variety of interactive gallery exhibits for children ranging in age from toddlers to 10 year-olds.

At The Chattanoogan, families will enjoy The Chattanoogan’s beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Younger ones will be delighted with the indoor swimming pool that has spectacular views of Lookout Mountain, and parents will appreciate the fitness facility and incredible spa services available at The Chattanoogan Spa.

The Chattanoogan, a 210,000 square-foot five-story upscale hotel with 199 newly renovated guest rooms and suites, also has three outstanding dining establishments, a 25,000 square-foot conference center with comprehensive meeting planning and audiovisual support services and a spa with four treatment rooms, steam room, sauna, fitness center, indoor pool, whirlpool and patio overlooking the hotel’s courtyard.

The property is conveniently located within a two-hour drive from Atlanta; Nashville, Tenn.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Huntsville, Ala.; and Birmingham, Ala. It is within walking distance of the city’s museums, galleries, retail stores, restaurants and The Tennessee Aquarium.
