THE CHATTANOOGAN HOTEL COMPLETES RENOVATIONS

  CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 25, 2011) – The Chattanoogan hotel, Chattanooga’s only AAA Four Diamond-rated full-service hotel and the only IACC-certified hotel in the state of Tennessee, has completed renovations to its guestrooms, guestroom corridors, ballroom and prefunction space.  The refurbishment includes new guestroom carpet, paint, wallcoverings and luxurious pillowtop mattresses; new guestroom corridor carpet, paint and wallcoverings; new draperies, paint and carpet in the prefunction area; and a complete renovation and reconfiguration of the hotel’s beautiful ballroom.   

The Chattanoogan’s 7,752 square-foot ballroom, the largest in Chattanooga, and its prefunction space received a comprehensive renovation and redesign with an updated color scheme of gray, golds and chocolate browns.  New geometric carpet that reflects the dynamic architecture of the hotel was added, and the space was reenergized with a modern design and upgraded with sophisticated sheer draperies that soften the area and offer glimpses into the exterior landscaping.  

The stunning décor of The Chattanoogan’s guestrooms and corridors have been enhanced with a neutral palette of cool soothing colors that surround the area with a classic and contemporary feel.  The corridors were refurbished with shades of blues and browns designed to give guests a peaceful transition into the relaxed environment of the contemporary guestrooms.  The tailored pattern of the new carpet and streamlined furniture add a layer of dimension and soft elegance. 

The Chattanoogan’s newly renovated contemporary guestrooms are beautifully furnished with a work desk, small table and accent chair.  Additional amenities include HD TV, high-speed wireless Internet, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and pampering bath products. The guestrooms are decorated in soothing neutral tones accented with a striking color palette of browns, whites and reds.  Many rooms offer stunning views of the picturesque Lookout Mountain and the city’s vibrant Southside.   

Looney and Associates, award-winning specialists in the hospitality design field, oversaw all interior design work for the renovations and was also responsible for the original construction of the hotel.  The company is committed to maintaining the integrity of the original design of the hotel, which reflects the city’s history, natural features and rich environment.
